Everyone's Voice and Vote Matters
My name is Jon Love. I've been a resident of Montco for the past 30+ years, and a member of Congregation Beth Or for the past few. First, I want to thank you for your efforts in developing a map that takes into consideration racial justice issues; I appreciate efforts to give a voice to the under-represented and marginalized members of our community. The progress that has been made in this area must be continued, and efforts to raise the voices of communities of color while minimizing the population deviation must be improved. I ask you to move towards a map that does just this. Ruth Yeiser's map reduces the population deviation to approximately 6.5% while following the traditional county and population boundaries. I encourage you to keep this design in mind as you move forward in your own map development.
