End gerrymandering
Thank you to the LRC for your work in support of fairer legislative maps. Gerrymandering over the past decades has led to more “safe” districts and fewer “competitive” districts. In those safe districts, the selection is essentially made by a small number of partisan voters in the primary, instead of by a broader electorate in the general election. We need fair maps that reflect our communities and population trends. The redistributing process should reflect our status as a swing state by working toward more competitive districts rather than fewer. Do not allow politicians to derail the progress you are making for us toward those goals.
