Keep Manor Township in the 41st

I have seen the legislative maps that have been proposed and am writing with a request. I live in the 41st district and am deeply disappointed that you have split off the majority of Manor Township from the 41st district. Looking beyond just this section of Lancaster County, it does not make any sense why you would split Lancaster City which has nearly the necessary population for one district. Having done this, you have then split Manor Township by splitting off three voting precincts. Splitting Lancaster City, the county seat, to my knowledge for the first time in decades if not a century, does not make any sense unless gerrymandering considerations are a factor. Having said that, I am requesting that you reinstate Lancaster City as its own district. Further, I am requesting that Manor Township be kept whole. We are a close-knit community and desire to be kept whole and included entirely within the 41st district. Our Manor Township Board of Supervisors passed a resolution requesting that Manor Township remain unsplit. Further, they cited the close connections we have with our neighbors to the north, East and West Hempfield Townships, Columbia and Mountville Boroughs, with whom we have many shared agreements and long-standing working relationships. I share this view and respectfully ask that you keep Manor Township whole and within the 41st legislative district.
