Cheswick, PA

Hello - I am a resident of Cheswick, a small town along the Allegheny River. We say that we are a "community of homes" with a population of roughly 1,700 residents. Our high school, part of the Allegheny Valley School District, graduates under 100 students consistently. As the proposed map suggests, we will be districted with O'Hara Twp (and its over 8,000 residents), among other larger areas. This a great concern as it can lead to the citizens of Cheswick being overlooked and overshadowed by densely populated and robust areas such as O'Hara Twp. The small towns along the river that are currently in district 33 are similar and have been represented well under the current districting. I fear that the proposed districting will lead to Cheswick, and the other small towns in the valley, being underserved and under represented.
