Support for the Senate Peoples Map

I am writing to express my emphatic support of the Senate People’s Map that was designed by Fair Districts PA and submitted to the legislative reapportionment commission. This map is a non-partisan rendering that uses local data and a common sense approach to help the people of our state be best represented. I personally live in Lancaster city and find the map that includes our more densely populated areas as one Senate District to be very appropriate and exciting. It makes sense for the people of our region that live in the more densely populated areas to have a senator that represents interests that are specific to where we live. I also think it is very appropriate that those who live in more rural areas of our county have their own representation in the Senate as many of their concerns may not overlap with mine. I am thankful for the hard work of the commission as well as the hard work of fair districts PA toward developing a map that fulfills our democratic values and gives equal representation to the people of our state.
