Legislative Redistricting
As President of the Williamstown Borough, I am contacting the LRC to request that Williamstown remains in the 125th District. I also ask that the LRC does not redistrict Williamstown and the rest of northern Dauphin County into the Harrisburg area or Lebanon County. Williamstown Borough and Williams Township should be part of what is now the 125th Legislative District. The lines of the 125th District should not be changed substantially. Only other Dauphin County municipalities that are north of Peters Mountain should be added to our legislative district if anything needs added. This district should contain northern Dauphin County and western Schuylkill County like it does now. Williams Valley School District contains portions of Dauphin County and Schuylkill County and one representative should represent this school district. As a rural area, we have much more in common with western Schuylkill County than lower Dauphin County or any other county. Our state representative should be reflective of this community of interest.
