PA Senate Districts - Allegheny County
One of the most important factors in creating fair maps is keeping like communities and communities of interest together in their representative districts. As a resident of the South Hills of the Pittsburgh region, we are consistently fractured with other communities. The municipalities of Dormont, Mount Lebanon, Green Tree, Upper St. Clair, Bethel Park, Whitehall, Jefferson Hills, Collier, Scott, etc., are all split between 3 different senatorial districts in the proposed draft map. This has been the case for decades. The South Hills region is an area of common interests and concerns, and as such should be unified into one or at most two senate districts.
