LRC - proposed Senate map
I was shocked, saddened and frustrated when I saw the proposed PA Senate map (https://davesredistricting.org/maps#viewmap::0badcef4-e9b6-44d3-9d62-b0ebce337aac). Living in the State College area, I have been frustrated by the division of the State College area into two districts for the U.S. Congress. This effectively split the voice of our town into two whispers. The proposed PA Senate map is taking the same approach: splitting the State College area into half. What ever happened to keeping communities, and their voices, together? The proposed map for District must be modified. Please consider this map: https://davesredistricting.org/maps#viewmap::47fe0a34-0f25-4090-8c4e-9d51b430c7ce. I have voted in nearly every election every year for the last 30 years. 30 years. But even with the LRC bringing more light to redistricting, a map like the proposed District 35 shows up. Ugh. Maybe voting is a waste of time, like some of my children (sadly) believe.
